Above all, THANK YOU.

Thank you for your interest in this project, in yourself, or in your child. If you’re reading me today, it’s because you and I have something to share.

My name is Aïda Daniel, I’m 35 years old, I’m the mother of a wonderful 6-year-old daughter and the founder of this project which has been so close to my heart for many years.

Smile & Roll was born out of my desire to recognize and accept my Dys-afferences, to love myself as I am, and to understand that not fitting into the mold is not only acceptable, but also an asset. Looking back, I realize that being Dys-afferent is a lot more awesome than I was led to believe.

Thanks to a career rich in experience and often “unconventional”, despite all my efforts to conform, I quickly realized that every human being is unique. Each one deserves a holistic approach to building, re-discovering and re-recognizing themselves.

My journey: between resilience and surpassing oneself

I started English boxing at the age of 15 with a specific aim: to learn how to defend myself.
Above all, it was a common thread running through my life. My best ally, and my best therapy.

After graduating from high school – a challenge that was far from easy – I went to New York to study gemology and haute joaillerie manufacturing. While I was there, I continued to practice English boxing, which has always been with me at every stage of my life.

Returning to Switzerland at the age of 24, I discovered Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, a fascinating discipline.
It’s like a human chess game, where body and mind come together to create movement.

Having gone through physical, psychological and emotional abuse, as well as difficulties in finding my place and valuing myself, martial arts have been my most powerful therapy. They have taught me to rebuild my identity with patience and resilience.

From Dys-afferences to success

Despite my Dys-afferences, I have obtained higher degrees and managed to take part in top-level international competitions. These experiences have enabled me to gain self-confidence and discover my full potential.

Studying the human being from all angles became a priority for me. Finding the right tools, progressing at my own pace and achieving my goals have been essential elements in my progress. Competing has taught me another valuable lesson: that of surpassing oneself and daring to believe in one’s abilities.

Smile & Roll: a project to share

In creating Smile & Roll, my aim is to pass on to you all the tools that have given me so much. The art of movement, martial arts and personal development form the pillars of this project.

I send you much love and strength. Together, let’s move forward on this path of acceptance, resilience and well-being.
